Terms & Conditions

This document establishes the conditions governing the use of this website and the motorcycle rental contract between Moto Rent Tenerife West Coast (hereinafter, “The Company”) and the user or customer (hereinafter, “The Renter”).

By using this website or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Driver Requirements

To be able to pick up the motorcycle, The Renter must mandatory comply with the following requirements at the time of delivery:

Minimum age: Be at least 18 years old.

Documentation: Present a valid National Identity Document (DNI), NIE, or Passport.

Driving license: Present a valid driving license in Spain for driving 125cc scooters (A1 License or B License).

Foreign licenses not belonging to the EU must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit if required by Spanish law.

2. Bookings, Prices and Payment

Prices: All prices indicated on the website include the Canarian Indirect General Tax (IGIC) and compulsory third-party liability insurance, unless otherwise specified.

Second helmet: The rental includes one helmet for the driver. In case a second helmet is required for the passenger, an extra charge will apply, which will be detailed during the booking process.

Payment methods: Payments by credit/debit card are accepted.

Confirmation: The booking will only be effective once The Renter receives the confirmation email from The Company.

3. Security Deposit

At the time of picking up the motorcycle, a security deposit will be blocked or charged via credit card as a guarantee for a fixed amount of 200 €.

Said deposit will be refunded or unblocked after the return of the motorcycle, once it has been verified that it is in the same conditions in which it was delivered.

4. Cancellation and Modification Policy

Cancellation and refund: A 100% refund of the amount will be issued if the cancellation of the booking is made more than 48 hours in advance of the start of the rental.

No-show: Cancellations made outside this period or failure to show up at the agreed place and time (no-show) will result in the loss of 100% of the total booking amount.

Modifications: Subject to availability and possible rate changes.

5. Use of the Motorcycle and Territorial Restrictions

Scope of circulation: Rented motorcycles may only circulate on public paved roads on the island of Tenerife.

Prohibition of transfer: It is strictly forbidden to transfer the motorcycle to other islands of the Canarian archipelago or to the mainland without express written authorization from The Company.

Prohibition of assignment and commercial use: It is strictly forbidden to sublet or assign the vehicle to third parties not authorized in the contract, drive without a valid license, or use the motorcycle for illegal activities or for work purposes (delivery, courier, or others).

Improper use: The use of the motorcycle on unpaved roads (off-road), beaches, competitions, reckless driving, or under the influence of alcohol and drugs is prohibited. Any damage resulting from improper use will void the insurance coverage and will be the sole responsibility of The Renter.

6. Insurance and Responsibility

The rental price includes Compulsory Third-Party Insurance.

Exclusions: The insurance under no circumstances covers the loss or damage of keys, the loss or damage of helmets or accessories, refueling with the incorrect fuel type, nor damages caused by negligence.

7. Breakdowns, Accidents and Fines

Roadside assistance: In the event of a breakdown or accident, The Renter must immediately contact the assistance service provided by The Company.

Accidents: It is mandatory to fill out the accident report form and/or notify the local authorities (Local Police or Civil Guard).

Traffic sanctions: The Renter is solely responsible for traffic fines, parking tickets, or any other infraction committed during the rental period.

8. Vehicle Return and Fuel

Place and time: The motorcycle must be returned at the place, date, and time agreed upon in the contract.

Delays: Late returns that have not been previously authorized by The Company will incur a surcharge of 10 € per hour of delay.

Fuel: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level with which it was delivered. Otherwise, an additional charge of between 5 € and 10 € will apply as a penalty and refueling service fee.

9. Privacy Policy and Data Protection

In accordance with the GDPR and current Spanish regulations, the personal data provided by the user will be processed by Moto Rent Tenerife West Coast for the purpose of managing the booking and the rental contract. You can consult our full Privacy Policy

10. Applicable Legislation and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law. For any controversy that may arise in relation to the use of the website or the rental contract, the parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.
